Bedford Town
An old market town and home of John Bunyan. It is famous for its beautiful river and gardens along the embankment and parks.
It has excellent private schools, swimming pools, cinemas, theatres, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for all cuisines.
Bromham Mill is the only working watermill in the area and lies on the River Ouse just outside Bedford. There is also an art gallery with regular exhibitions.
Bedford Butterfly Park is at Wilden, just outside Bedford. It’s an award-winning attraction with traditional English hay meadows with lots of indigenous butterflies, and ‘tropical garden’ with many exotic butterflies.
